1. Who we are
Asher AI API is an independent, individually-operated service providing prepaid access to third-party AI language models. It is operated by Ho Wei Yang ("Asher", "we", "us"), based in Singapore. This policy explains what information we collect when you use our website and API service, and how we use it.
2. Information we collect
We collect the minimum information necessary to provide and support the service:
- Account and payment information: your email address and payment details, collected and processed by our payment provider, Creem, at checkout. We do not directly store full payment card details.
- Usage data: API request volume, timestamps, and quota consumption, used to enforce rate limits and track your remaining prepaid balance.
- Support communications: any information you provide when contacting us by email for support or refund requests.
We do not store the content of your API requests or responses beyond what is required for short-term operational logging and abuse prevention.
3. How we use your information
- To provision and authenticate your API key
- To track and enforce prepaid quota and rate limits
- To process payments and issue refunds where applicable
- To respond to support requests
- To detect and prevent abuse or fraudulent use of the service
4. Third-party processors
We rely on a small number of third-party providers to operate the service:
- Creem — payment processing and subscription/quota management
- DeepSeek — the underlying AI model provider your API requests are relayed to
- Vultr — our infrastructure/server hosting provider
Each of these providers has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data passed to them. We encourage you to review their policies if you have specific concerns about payment or model-provider data handling.
5. Data retention
We retain account and usage records for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, resolve disputes, and meet our own legal or accounting obligations. You may request deletion of your account information at any time by contacting us; some minimal records may be retained where required for fraud prevention or legal compliance.
6. Data security
We take reasonable technical measures to protect your information, including access controls on our infrastructure and reliance on reputable third-party processors for payment handling. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.
8. Children's privacy
This service is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 18.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
